Frequently Asked Questions

How frequently are sessions held?

Frequency of sessions is determined by you and me, together. Some determining factors include severity of your condition, financial resources, and scheduling challenges. For example, if meeting weekly is too stressful with your work schedule or childcare, then let’s talk about meeting every other week.

What is the investment?

Costs for therapy can vary for each person depending on their insurance coverage.  If Ripple is not in-network with your insurance, I am still able to work with you and you may be able to get reimbursement from your insurance company or through your HSA/FSA funds. Click here to learn about how you can get reimbursed.

The fee for a 50 minute session is $135.  There are some sliding scale spots available, so if cost is a barrier to participating in therapy, please reach out and we can discuss options.

What insurance plans do you accept?

Ripple Therapy and Yoga is an in-network provider with:

Optum/United Healthcare

What is "Integrative Psychotherapy?"

Integrative Psychotherapy is an approach that combines techniques and insights from different therapeutic approaches.  The advantage of integrative psychotherapy is that treatment is tailored to the specific needs and preferences of the client, rather than focusing narrowly onto one school of thought.

Can we meet in person?

At this time Ripple Therapy and Yoga is a fully virtual provider and all sessions are held via a secure, HIPAA compliant video platform.

I am a new parent with a young baby.  Can I bring my baby to session?

Absolutely, your baby is welcome!  Many of my clients bring their babies to the session.  As long as it does not become too challenging to focus on your own needs, because this time is set aside for you.

Will my information and what I share in session be kept confidential?

I take your privacy very seriously.  Everything that we discuss in sessions will be kept private and confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party without your written consent.  There are only a few exceptions to this rule including reporting suspected child or elder abuse or if you disclose a plan to harm yourself or others.

I am not spiritual or religious, can we still work together?

Of course! I work with individuals from all backgrounds and belief systems. In therapy, my primary focus is to support you in addressing your concerns, and I deeply respect your personal beliefs. Whether you're spiritual, religious, agnostic, or atheist, my role as a therapist is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space.  My approach is client-centered, meaning I will not impose my own beliefs or values on you. Our sessions are a space for you to express yourself openly, and I will adapt our therapeutic work to align with your unique perspective and goals.
